Dinosaurs for Christmas
This Christmas, Deano Builds is taking orders for a limited run of oversized wooden dinosaurs, handmade in our Warrion workshop.
Each dinosaur is made to order, with only two production places available each week in the lead up to Christmas.
Maker, Woodworker, Artist
I’m Dean, a self taught woodworker and maker based near Colac in regional Victoria.
I started Deano Builds in 2024 after moving to Western Australia and finally having the space and time to build properly. What began as a way to document projects in my workshop grew into a YouTube channel followed by more than 13,000 people in its first year.
I’ve since returned home to Victoria and set up a new workshop. It’s given me the room to take on bigger projects, experiment with new ideas and start developing Deano Builds into a working studio.
These days I’m particularly interested in large scale sculpture, including my oversized dinosaur builds. I still make plenty of other things, but the projects I take on tend to be the ones that interest me creatively and give me something new to figure out.
