186cm Brontosaurus Dinosaur Sculpture

The standard dimensions are listed on each dinosaur’s product page. Because every dinosaur is handmade, finished measurements may vary slightly.

Every dinosaur is made from start to finish by Dean in his workshop, just outside of Colac. Each component is individually marked, cut, shaped, sanded and assembled by hand. No CNC machinery is used.

Not at this stage. Each dinosaur has been designed around set dimensions so Dean can keep the cutting, assembly and overall workflow efficient. Sticking to these sizes also helps reduce material waste and keep costs down, so for now we’re only offering the standard dimensions shown on each listing.

They’re primarily designed for indoor or undercover display. All dinosaurs are made from marine-grade plywood, so they may be suitable for outdoor use when properly protected with an appropriate exterior paint or sealer. However, ongoing exposure to weather will affect timber over time, and we can’t guarantee longevity when displayed outdoors.

Absolutely. Your dinosaur can be painted, stained, sealed or decorated however you like. If you already know what you have planned, let us know when ordering and Dean can advise.

Each dinosaur takes several days of workshop time to complete. Production time varies depending on the dinosaur and materials.

Dean accepts a maximum of two dinosaur commissions each week. Your selected slot reserves one of those places in his production schedule. The time shown during booking is for scheduling purposes only. It's not an appointment, completion or collection time.

No. Each dinosaur requires the same amount of individual workshop time, regardless of how many are ordered, and they’ve already been priced as fairly as possible based on the materials and labour involved.

Collection is available from an arranged collection point in Colac. We’ll contact you once your dinosaur is ready to arrange a suitable time.

Yes, slightly. Every dinosaur is individually cut, shaped and assembled, and natural timber varies too. Small differences in grain, colour, cut and finish mean each finished dinosaur is slightly different.

Absolutely. These dinosaurs are being made specifically in the lead up to Christmas, with only two production places available each week. If you need yours by a particular date, let us know when booking.

We’re not offering custom changes at this stage. Keeping each dinosaur to its established design and dimensions helps Dean maintain a manageable production schedule and keeps the price as low as possible.
